Thodio A-Box Bulletproof Speakers Are Perfect For Your Bunker [Speakers]

Gizmodo

Shared by Mike
Ateast now Ryan has something to do with all those ammo cans. :)

Back in 2007, Thodio made the lovingly hand-crafted iBox speakers. But you know what? That was then. In today's rough and tumble world, your iPod needs speakers wrought with freakin kevlar. Welcome, survivalists, to the Thodio A-Box.

The innards are the same as the iBox, with your choice between two 25 watt...

Joseph Campbell postulated that all myths/stories have one structure he called “The Hero’s Journey” or “The Monomyth,” as illustrated above.

We are supposed to create a story that follows this structure.

Thusly:

Call to Adventure: A man is called to adventure by his empty stomach.

Threshold Guardian: He goes to a Chinese restaurant with a friend, where the guard checks if he has weapons.

Threshold: He enters the restaurant.

Helper/Mentor: His friend recommends the soup.

Temptation: He wants some noodles.

Challenge: The waiters are difficult to call.

Helper: His friend shouts at one, and they are noticed.

ABYSS!: There is no more soup. There are no more noodles. He settles for Peking Duck.

Transformation: He likes Pecking Duck after all!

Atonement: He becomes full.

Gift of the Goddess: He orders take out.

Return: He goes back home.

THE CYCLE CONTINUES.

During his 12 years at Yomiuri Shimbun, Adelstein made deadly enemies — and some lifelong friends — in the yakuza, the organized crime underworld that quietly controls a large part of Japan's political economy. The book (which I reviewed in...
